Our Goals With Monero Coalition
Every movement needs a set of goals and principals. Here are ours.
Monero is the gold standard for censorship resistant payments and one of the safest* stores of value there is (in terms of asset seizability by rogue governments et al). Our main objective with Monero Coalition is to force its acceptance for payment usage by means of community-driven and economic pressure.
Community-driven pressure will usually entail simply emailing individuals and organizations asking them to accept Monero. Or some other form of outreach, in which you, the reader, need to aid us in persistently nagging individuals to add Monero, with well-versed explanations for what Monero is and why they should care.
Importantly, when we succeed in gaining acceptance, actually support those who have started accepting it. The Monero community is usually very good at this, but rewarding those we have annoyed into accepting us is beneficial to maintaining this acceptance and spreading it further.
Finally, we are not in any way looking to stir politics-driven drama that can distract from furthering usage. In a perfect world, every political party and every person no matter their world view uses Monero. It is not our job to play moral arbitrage, it is our job to identify those who are most likely to start accepting Monero and push them to accept it.
